Scripture for today: Job 28; Job 29; Galatians 1; Galatians 2 (New International Version)
Scripture-My special verse today: Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”
Observation: Paul was opposing Peter because he was afraid of the Gentiles even though he acted like he wanted them to join the Way. Paul confronted him because of this inconsistencies and went on to say that only through Christ living in him was he able to do the things he was doing. Because of his faith in Christ, he lives in the body and because of his faith his life is not his own but, rather, Christ’s living through him.
Application: What power to declare your life as not your own but Christ’s living through you. So many try to live their lives as if Christ was a set of do’s and don’t’s, instead of a life filled with grace. Am I guilty as charged? Am I willing to serve Christ no matter what the cost simply because my life is no longer my own? Could I be accused of being in-dwelt with Christ?
To live my life as Christ’s is a whole new dimension. To live as though I am not my own but belong to the ultimate Savior is a brand new existence.
Prayer: Help me live as Christ!!
