Scripture for today: Jeremiah 3; Jeremiah 4; John 11
Scripture-My special verse today: John 11:25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Observation: Jesus asks this question of Martha before resurrecting Lazarus. He is asking if she truly believes he is able or whether she doubts his power. He does not seem to be in a hurry to raise Lazarus. Rather, he seems more interested in the condition of Martha’s heart.
Application: Are the things that take place for me or for others? Is it possible that the things that happen are meant to question the condition of my heart when I think they are meant to promote a miracle for someone else? Am I willing to admit that the things God has in store for me are all part of his plan?
I wonder if my belief or lack of affects those around me. Would Lazarus have been raised if she would have answered no? Have I blocked a blessing by my unwillingness to truly believe God?
Prayer: Lord I believe. Please help my unbelief. Let me fall on the floor crying out my love and belief of your strength and power so others receive the blessings you planned for their lives. Let me not question you.
